Modesto Senior Pictures
I had the pleasure of taking Julia’s senior portraits the other day. Julia is a senior at Enoch High School and will be graduating this coming June. Julia’s mom and younger sister joined her for the session and they couldn’t have been nicer to hang out with for the afternoon. Julia is a natural in front of the camera and it really shows in the images from the session. We started in the studio and ended the session at one of my favorite outdoor locations where we were greeted with an absolutely stunning sunset and with beautiful warm colors that bathed the entire area in perfect light. I’ve become known for my images from certain outdoor locations so I like to change things up occasionally in order to continue to offer something new to my clients and keep things fresh for me as well. While Julia and I were walking the area we discovered a couple new locations with beautiful background vistas and took full advantage of them. I’ll certainly be adding these to my shot list for future sessions. It was a wonderful session with Julia and we created a number of beautiful images perfect for wall portraits, here’s a few images from the day.

Alexee Curtis – Enoch High 2015 – Modesto Senior Portraits
Alexee is a senior at Enoch high right next door in Modesto and stopped by the other day for her senior portraits. Alexee is a pretty awesome young woman and loves to sew, so we of course couldn’t miss the chance to work that into her session. She brought by her sewing machine and a beautiful quilt she made to be featured in a couple images. Luckily I had a few tailor/seamstress related items laying around that worked perfectly for the picture. I really like the resulting images and some of the nice details we added if you look closely. After our indoor session we headed outside where we were treated to some absolutely beautiful, warm light that highlighted the natural beauty of our location. It was a wonderful afternoon. Chelsea Johnson – Class of 2014 Senior Portraits
Chelsea will be graduating from Ceres High (class of 2014) in a few days and stopped by the studio for her senior portraits recently. Chelsea was wonderful to work with and very easy to photograph. We started in the studio before branching out to our outdoor location for some fantastic conditions and light. Chelsea is a very talented drummer and will be playing with the Fresno State Marching band in the fall, way to go Chelsea! Here’s a few images from her senior portraits.

Senior Portraits
It’s that time of year again, senior portrait season, and Matthew came by the studio for his session a few days ago. Matt came by along with his parents and girlfriend and we had a great time creating some amazing images. Matthew does some pretty cool stuff including playing water polo for Davis high and being an Eagle scout. We started the session with some indoor images at the studio before heading out for some beautiful light with the outdoor portion of the session. We were pretty lucky and had another day of awesome clouds which I tried to take full use of. Matt’s session is filled with awesome images that would make outstanding wall portraits. Cessalee Vance – Enoch High School Class of 2014 – Senior Pictures
The lovely Cessalee will be graduating from Enoch High in Modesto next year (class of 2014) and came by last week for her senior pictures. Cessalee’s wonderful to work with, a lot of fun to hang around with and even photographs nicely too, the whole package.
We started the session in the studio before heading off for the outdoor images in one of my favorite foothill spots, I’m practically living out there right now. As you’ll be able to see by the pictures below we had some killer clouds and took full advantage of them during the session. The big sky isn’t something you see in many portraits but I love to utilize a dramatic sky whenever I have the opportunity. Really, how awesome would a few of those images look as large wall portraits? There’s a statement piece if I’ve ever seen one. Enough with the talking, here’s a few samples from the session.

Patrick Leiting – Modesto High Class of 2014 – Senior Portraits
Patrick came by the studio for his senior portraits last week, he’ll be graduating from Modesto High in the Spring of 2014. We had a great time during the session and enjoyed hanging out with his parents and sister as well. Patrick is a great guy, a pleasure to work with and was great in front of the camera, very natural. In addition to being an all around cool guy Patrick also races BMX bikes in competitions all around the country, pretty cool I think. Of course when spending most of your time racing you’ve got to work your bike and some of the awards you’ve won into the sessions. Patrick has a pretty sweet bike and I’m hoping we can head out sometime so I can make some images of him doing a few tricks or maybe jumping over fire. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

I’m starting a new senior rep program for the class of 2014 and things start NOW. The Senior Rep Program is a fun and exciting way for high school seniors to earn discounts toward their senior portraits and free photo shoots while helping us show off our latest styles and most recent senior photos! Edward Mendes Photography is the Modesto area premiere portrait studio and we want to make sure your senior portraits are awesome. If you know a junior that will be graduating in 2014 and think they would make a great senior model send them my way. Senior reps act as a spokesperson for Edward Mendes Photography,
